DURATION: 6 hours including transfer

The town of Oranienbaum is in the suburbs of St. Petersburg and is a bit further than Peterhof. Oranienbaum was founded in the first half of the 18 th century as the estate of Alexander Menshikov, the associate of Peter the Great. The Grand Palace of Menshikov was built on the terrace and next to it the Lower and Upper Parks were designed as well as the canal connecting with the Gulf of Finland. Later the Emperor Peter III became the owner of Oranienbaum and his own small palace was built here. The Chinese Palace, the Slide, Cavalier’s House and other structures were created at the times of Peter III spouse, Catherine II. During the tour you can visit the palaces and enjoy the beauty of picturesque and peaceful parks. They are the real gems of Russian history and art especially because they were in greater safety than other suburban palaces at the time of the WWII.
